"Sing" - Psalm 101:1 - "I will sing of your love and justice". The vibrancy of color collide with dark contrasts emblematic of David's joy and lament song in the Psalms. From a distance, the artwork is experienced as a ghostly impression of iconic typography. As the viewer approaches, greater and greater detail comes into focus within the canvas to ultimately reveal the embodied scripture within the artwork.
The Psalms & Proverbs collection exhibits an entire book narrative as a single linear page of unenumerated text to visually contextualize the book as a singular uninterrupted visual expression of truth, unencumbered by pages and numeric cataloguing. All scripture referenced is DASV [Digital American Standard Version]
These giclees are archival, highest-quality prints. Each work of art is individually printed and made custom for your order. They are masterful pieces of art on stretched, 1.5" thick gallery-wrapped canvases. Each giclee includes hanging hardware and is ready to hang when you receive it. While a giclee does not include texture that you can physically feel, it does include the stunning visual texture of Ryan's original pallet knife strokes.
The printing process requires several days of curing/ drying/ hand-stretching, and we hope you'll appreciate the time we devote to each work: Please allow UP TO 2 WEEKS for final production.
